Amitabh Bachchan Introduces The Bachchan's Dog

Bollywood NewsAmitabh Bachchan Introduces The Bachchan's Dog
Amitabh Bachchan Introduces The Bachchan Dog. You may have heard about him, but never seen him. Shanouk is an important member of the Bachchan household but as the family likes to protect its privacy, their pet has been kept away from the media.

However, Big B has now posted pictures of his dog on his blog in response to requests from readers.

Writing about a set of photos from which one can be seen here on the left, Amitabh wrote the following:

“The other more affectionate ones are Shanouk expressing his desire for a close cheek to cheek waltz with his master, whom he loves to protect savagely. Told you he was big.. er.. bigger than me on his hind. And even beyond if he were to stretch his front legs.

“That choreographed move has kindled a desire for more within Shanouk and as I write he hovers around the lap top, pawing my knee, and attempting desperately for a repeat. Well he ain’t gonna get one. Not till I finish with the blog, anyway.”

Amitabh has also been blogging filmmaker Prakash Mehra, with whom he delivered several hits. Mehra passed away on May 17.

Yesterday (May 18) Amitabh attended Mehra’s funeral. This is an excerpt from what he wrote on his blog:

“Prakash ji’s eldest son Sumeet returned from USA this morning and the cremation took place by the afternoon. Abhishek and I attended it, but the behavior of the electronic media at the crematorium was just disgusting. No respect shown for the sensitivity of the occasion. No regard for the moment and no ethics at all in maintaining some decorum for this very private and sombre ritual. All they were interested in was in getting that ‘bite’ or shoving their cameras inches away from your nose, at a moment when one desired peace and quiet. Shameful.

"But what of some of the mourners, if they can be called that! They were no less. Pushing and shoving to get a position behind or near about the celebrity, so the cameras can catch them.

“I shall not dwell on this anymore; I may just burst a blood vessel.”
